The Lammily doll arrived a few days ago, and although I had originally hoped to save it for a special occasion present or reward I was so intrigued to see what my daughter would think of her that I almost immediately called her over to open the box with me. I wondered if her little 4yr old mind would really see the differences between the new doll and the princess dolls already in her room; could this doll really be THAT different?
YES! They are very different and my daughter caught on almost immediately! She made comments like, "Momma, she looks like us" and "I like her because she's like a real girl" without me commenting on the differences at all.
There were a few things about the Lammily doll that aren't my favorite. I'm not a fan of her name, although my daughter likes it. My daughter was disappointed that she didn't stand "on her own" and I wasn't a fan of her feet due to the fact that if I took the shoes on and off too much the ankles came out of socket- they did go back rather easy, but I think I'd prefer them to be one piece rather than movable.
Overall, I think this was a great purchase, and I will probably purchase others in the future.
